Privacy policy

This policy explains how Vostra Italia processes your personal data, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, for visitors from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data we collect

  • Bookings: first name, last name, mobile number, e-mail, date, time, number of guests, and anything you choose to add (occasion, allergies, high chair, terrace, comment).
  • Group requests: name, company, contact details, date, number of guests, budget and message.
  • Browsing: only if you agree, audience measurement and advertising data (see the cookie policy).

Purposes

  • managing your booking: confirmation, reminder the day before, change or cancellation;
  • preparing your visit (allergies, occasion, seating);
  • answering group requests;
  • sending you our news, only if you ticked the box for it (unsubscribe in one click);
  • measuring website audience and the effectiveness of our campaigns, with your consent.

Processors

  • Website hosting: Vercel Inc. (servers in the European Union, Frankfurt).
  • Database (bookings, group requests): Supabase, Zurich data centre (Switzerland).
  • Transactional e-mails: Infomaniak mail server (Switzerland).
  • SMS: SMS provider (confirmation and reminder).
  • Newsletter: Brevo (EU), only for people who gave their consent.
  • Audience measurement and advertising: Google (Analytics 4, Ads, Tag Manager) and Meta (Pixel, Conversions API), only after consent. These providers may transfer data outside Switzerland, on the basis of standard contractual clauses.

Retention

  • Bookings: 24 months after the visit, then anonymised.
  • Group requests that did not go ahead: 12 months.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Audience measurement data: 14 months maximum.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to contact@vostraitalia.ch. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Security

The website is served over HTTPS only. Access to booking data is limited to the restaurant team, with individual accounts.
